John Cavallaro recently joined Dankmeyer in 2024 as a resident prosthetist orthotist. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Tennessee. During his senior year he was unsure of what career/industry to work in. While he enjoyed designing and building devices for people, he wanted to directly see the impact his work had and learn about the patient’s stories. That’s when he started shadowing at a local O&P clinic and from then on, fell in love with the industry. He later received his Master’s Degree in Orthotics and Prosthetics from the University of Hartford. He’s excited to see how the industry evolves with new prosthetic technologies and how best to treat every patient he interacts with during his career. In his free time, he enjoys photography, playing video games, working on cars, staying active, and traveling.
