It took a few months to get on the WJZ TV Manic Monday schedule, but Adrienne Castle, Patient Services Coordinator, persevered in her efforts to coordinate this event! This morning, March 5, 2018, Dankmeyer staff members met at Jimmy’s in Fells Point (801 S Broadway) at 5:45am wearing their Dankmeyer green to appear on TV and sing the well known lyrics from the Bangles' Manic Monday!

Hosted by Ron Matz, WJZ is the local CBS affiliate which features local businesses on this Monday morning session. Even though it was cold and windy, Dankmeyer folks met to rehearse the lyrics before the show went live. The team was joined by Eric Flynn and his mom - though Eric is an experienced skier and the cold probably didn't effect him as much as it did everyone else! Jeanne Smith, Patient Services Representative, brought Moxie, her English Setter mix rescue, and our four legged prosthetic patient - all bundled in her Dankmeyer T shirt. And Sumner Handy also braved the cold to join the sing-a-long. (Eric, Sumner and Moxie are all featured in Patient Stories.)

After the event, the Dankmeyer team went to warm up and have a great breakfast at Jimmy's Restaurant. 3DPO took a microphone to entertain everyone with his own rendition of Manic Monday. The team will be back to compete in the Mammoth Manic Monday Meltdown in November, when we hope it will be warmer!
