We invite you to join TEAM DANKMEYER and participate in The Children’s League 18th annual fundraiser this September.

Last September,  Dankmeyer was proud to support The Children’s League Kid Walk/Kid Talk fundraising event in Cumberland, Maryland.  A team composed of Mark Treasure, CP, BOCO, Patient Representative Heather Iman and her family, Dawn Miranda Prosthetist Assistant, and two Cumberland area patients - Mr. Bill Ewing and Kaleb Mearkle, participated in the event.  Mr. Ewing and Kaleb are both beneficiaries of The Children’s League.

We were planning to do it again this year, except bigger!  As with many things COVID related, The Children’s League has had to shift to a virtual event.  In some ways, this makes it easier for more people outside of the Cumberland area to support The Children’s League.  After discussion with the Cumberland Dankmeyer team, we have developed a new plan!

We have created TEAM DANKMEYER on The Children’s League event page of Eventbrite (click here), and invite you to participate in this virtual effort.  (If you would rather download and print the form and send directly to The Children’s League - click here.) When you sign up on Eventbrite, be sure and do so by selecting “Join a Team” and then enter TEAM DANKMEYER. You will receive a race T shirt from The League at packet pickup, (that Dankmeyer has helped sponsor) and be a part of the team.  Over a two week period, 9/19/20 - 9/30/20, you can walk, run, bike, hike, or pretty much do anything you choose at any distance, to support the effort.  Take pictures of yourselves and any family members or friends who join up and send to us so we can post about the event. Send them to cl-event@dankmeyer.com and we will be happy to post them on our Facebook page.

When you register, the option is available to donate via PayPal, or you can send a check to The Children’s League directly. Individuals or Team Members who prefer to register and make their pledges by phone may contact The Children's League at 301-759-5200.
